Field hockey earns fifth consecutive shutout

The Hopkins women’s field hockey team continued their strong season this past weekend as the Jays defeated the Swarthmore College Garnet 4-0 to clinch a berth to the Centennial Conference Tournament for the first time since 2014.

Water polo defeats MIT for D-III Championship

After competing in the Harvard Invitational last Friday, the Hopkins water polo team traveled straight to Cambridge, Mass. on Saturday for the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Eastern Championship at MIT.

Volleyball keeps streak going with pair of victories

The Hopkins women’s volleyball team continued their hot streak by winning their 14th and 15th straight matches this weekend against the Washington & Lee University Generals (W&L) and the Muhlenberg College Mules, both in three straight sets.

Athlete of the Week: John Wilson — Water Polo

This weekend, the Hopkins men’s water polo team traveled to California for the Gary Troyer Tournament. Though the team struggled in its first match versus the University of Redlands, the rest of the weekend was an undeniable triumph.

Swim opens the season with loss to William & Mary

Last Saturday, the Hopkins women’s and men’s swim teams traveled to the College of William & Mary (W&M) for their first meet of the season. Although both teams came out with a loss, there were still several impressive performances recorded on both sides.

Ursinus beats the Jays with a touchdown in the final minute

For the first time in almost five years, the Hopkins football team lost a regular season game. The unparalleled 45-game regular season winning streak was snapped this weekend in an epic showdown against the Ursinus College Bears, with the Blue Jays falling 21-17 in Collegeville, Pa.

Athlete of the Week: Jonah Muniz — men’s soccer

This past weekend, the Hopkins men’s soccer team took on Muhlenberg College at home. The Jays came into the match undefeated, seeking to push their winning streak to 10 games and their unbeaten streak to 14 games, feats that had not been accomplished since 2007 and 2006, respectively.
