Hopkins baseball keeps their winning record

After another busy week of back-to-back games, the Hopkins Blue Jays now hold a record of 5-3, losing two of the three games played over the weekend and winning one later on in the week. Over the weekend, two of those games were against the University of Southern Maine Huskies, where each team took a win. The Jays then fell 0-3 to the eighth-ranked Salisbury University Sea Gulls.

Hopkins men's basketball ends their season in a loss to Stockton but with a 23-4 record.

Men's basketball NCAA tournament recap

After a blowout win against Swarthmore College in the Centennial Conference championship game, Hopkins advanced on to the NCAA Division-III Men’s Basketball Tournament, which ultimately ended in a heartbreaking loss to Stockton University in the second round.

Fresh off her fastest 4x400-meter relay leg at the Tufts Invitational and All-Centennial Conference First Team selections in the 400 and 4x400, senior Ashley Tyburski has put together a more than impressive senior campaign for the women’s track and field team.

Women's tennis falls to Washington and Lee

Women’s tennis took on the Washington and Lee University Generals on Feb. 26 in their first meeting since 2018. The Jays looked to bounce back from their season-opener loss against Towson University but fell short, losing 1-8.

Senior Dominick Reyes won his second consecutive NCAA regional title last weekend.

Athlete of the Week: Dominick Reyes — Wrestling

Senior Dominick Reyes is no stranger to the spotlight. The weekend of Feb. 26, Reyes won the NCAA Mideast Regional title in the 165-pound weight division for the second consecutive time, securing his bid to the NCAA Division III championships for the third time in his career as a Blue Jay.

Men's lacrosse notches 1,000th win in program history

The men’s lacrosse team defended home turf against the Loyola University Maryland Greyhounds the weekend of Feb. 19. The Jays came out on top in a game that remained tight the whole way, winning 11-10 and becoming the first lacrosse program in history to reach 1,000 wins.

Graduate student midfielder Shelby Harrison recorded four goals in a resounding win over the VCU Rams.

Athlete of the Week: Shelby Harrison — Lacrosse

Women’s lacrosse debuted against the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Rams this past weekend. Following a shortened season last year, the Blue Jays came out with a vengeance, crushing the Rams 15-6 after trailing 2-0 through the first quarter.

The Super Bowl is the most watched sporting event in America. The 2021 NFL Super Bowl attracted 96.4 million viewers, making it the least watched Super Bowl since 2007 when the Indianapolis Colts played the Chicago Bears. The previous year, when the San Francisco 49ers played the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020, 102.1 million viewers tuned in to watch the game.
