In the NFC especially, the presumed juggernauts have fallen flat. Of the six teams from the Conference that made the playoffs last year, only two would qualify this year, and zero currently lead their division.

The Hopkins women’s soccer team continued their torrid pace with two more wins this past week, beating the McDaniel College Green Terror earlier on the road and then beating Centennial Conference rival, the Swarthmore College Garnet, on Saturday at home. The two wins guaranteed the Jays a spot in the Conference Tournament.

Out of his 13 years in the league, LeBron has made it to seven championships and six consecutively. Though he has done so in what is clearly the weaker of the two conferences, this accomplishment is quite impressive.

The qualification tournament, known as the Hexagonal, started out as poorly as possible for the United States. The top four teams in the group would qualify for at least a playoff spot. All the United States had to do was tie, and they would be guaranteed at least a chance against Australia for the final qualifying position.
