This Saturday, check out the BARCStoberfest festival in Patterson park to support Baltimore’s largest animal shelter and celebrate fall with furry pets. 

The weather in Baltimore right now is a perfect blend of crisp autumn air and warm sunlight. This weekend, once again, Baltimore offers a delightful array of events, from a pet-friendly festival to the annual Halloween Lantern Parade, giving you the perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. 

Friday

Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Oct. 25–27, 7:30 p.m.

Experience a holiday tradition as the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra presents a live performance of Danny Elfman's GRAMMY®-winning score for Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” followed by a screening of the film. Watch the Pumpkin King’s plot to take control of Christmas unfold in a fusion of film and orchestral music! Tickets range from $28 to $45.

Saturday

BARCStoberfest, Patterson Park, 7:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Support Baltimore's largest animal shelter at the 20th annual BARCStoberfest in Patterson Park! The festival features a Howl-o-Ween costume contest for pets and humans, a 5K run and 1-mile walk, and the Barkin' Beer Garden with live music. Festival access ranges from free to $54.

Doors Open Baltimore 2024, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Experience Baltimore’s architectural diversity at Doors Open Baltimore 2024, with free access and tours of historic homes, artisan studios, and boutique shops. Explore 41 featured sites, from the Baltimore Basilica to the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company Theater, and discover the unique character and cultural gems that define the city.

The Great Halloween Lantern Parade & Festival, Patterson Park, 4 p.m.

Patterson Park’s beloved Great Halloween Lantern Parade & Festival returns for its 25th year. The event kicks off with family activities, a craft market and food trucks. As darkness falls, a spectacular parade illuminates the night with lanterns, accompanied by performers, musicians, and the community.

Sunday

Harbor Harvest Children’s Fall Festival, Rash Field, 10 a.m.

Discover a slice of rural life at Baltimore's Inner Harbor during Harbor Harvest Children’s Fall Festival, a festival featuring petting zoos and a meandering hay maze that captures the spirit of fall. Embrace the season through hands-on crafts and pumpkin picking in this urban autumn escape. Entry is free!
