This weekend, check out the Nightmare Before Bar at Kraken Baltimore to celebrate Halloween! 

This weekend, Baltimore serves up a delightful blend of visual and audio arts, perfectly paired with some tasty drinks. Enjoy cocktails at the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA), savor Maryland’s best brews or vibe to some classic rock — it’s all happening this weekend!

Friday

Art After Hours: Preoccupied, Baltimore Museum of Art, Nov. 1, 8–11 p.m.

Get ready for a unique, artsy night out at the BMA with Art After Hours: Preoccupied, an event to celebrate Native artists. Enjoy a live violin performance by Laura Ortman, a wampum-making workshop with Zach Cole and a vibrant dance floor. Wander through the gallery under the night sky, sipping cocktails and sampling appetizers from H3irloom Food Group. This 21+ event is $35 for general admission.            

The Nightmare Before Bar, Kraken Baltimore, Nov. 1–3, 1–10:30 p.m.

Join a spooky pop-up at The Nightmare Before Bar, a Tim Burton-inspired wonderland taking over Kraken Baltimore! Dive into a 90-minute immersive adventure featuring a themed welcome drink and eerie entertainment from resident ghosts and ghouls. This 21+ event has an entry fee of $12.5–$16.5.

Saturday

Baltimore Craft Beer Festival, Baltimore Peninsula, 12 p.m.

Celebrate Maryland’s finest brews at the 2024 Baltimore Craft Beer Festival! Enjoy tastings from over 50 local brewers (including non-alcoholic options), various food trucks and live music. Don’t miss the highlight: the Winners Circle, when you can sample the gold medal-winning beers from the Maryland Craft Beer Competition! Ticket prices range from $25 to $65.

Conservation Window, Walters Art Museum, 12:30–4 p.m.

Get an insider’s look at art restoration at the Walters Art Museum’s Conservation Window. Meet conservators as they work on projects and learn about the fascinating techniques used to preserve historic artifacts. This museum is free to enter for everyone! 

Sunday

Gist, Greenhead, Seikilos, Radium Girl, Ottobar, 6 p.m.

As always, if you’re craving some live music to get your adrenaline pumping, head to Ottobar. This Sunday, catch Greenhead as they bring a thrilling mix of classic rock vibes from Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin, fused with the stoner/doom sounds of the 90s and 2000s. The event also features Radium Girl, Seikilos and Gist, and tickets are around $20.
