With lots of Baltimore-based learning opportunities, this weekend is sure to be a blast!

The change of seasons always comes with a lot of festivities. Celebrate the end of summer and the coming of fall with a weekend full of fun events!

Friday

University Night at Camden Yards, 7—10 p.m. 

The Baltimore Orioles are hosting University Nights this Friday along with their American League East rivals, the Tampa Bay Rays. Purchase special tickets that come with an Orioles hat in Hopkins colors and support the hometown baseball team!

Fells Point Fall Festival 2023, 2—9 p.m. 

Celebrate the coming of fall at Fells Point with live music, local food and drinks as well as pumpkin carving. The three-day fair is free to enter and takes place at Broadway Square. Make sure to check out times for Saturday and Sunday as well!

Saturday 

Defenders’ Day at Fort McHenry, 10 a.m.—8:30 p.m. 

Baltimore’s oldest holiday, Defenders’ Day, will be celebrated this weekend at Fort McHenry near Inner Harbor! Take the opportunity to learn about the history of the War of 1812 and the most famous monument in Baltimore! The entrance fee is $15 for adults. 

Highwire Improv Night at Zissimos Bar, 8—10 p.m. 

Enjoy some laughs at the Highwire Improv Night at the Lou Costello Room of Zissimos Bar in Hampden. This weekend they are featuring Scrapple, Local Spot, Brad’s Dad and Teen Angst. Tickets are $10. 

Sunday

Black History Tours at Fells Point, 6—8 p.m. 

Learn more about Black history in Baltimore with a free, guided tour through the historic neighborhoods of Fells Point. Some stops include the old and new Broadway Market and Happy Alley.
