Whether you're a fan of art, film, or music, here are some ways to explore Baltimore this weekend!

This weekend, take some time to explore Baltimore’s arts scene without breaking the bank!

Friday

Rebecca Scheuerman and William Wright Showcase Opening Reception, 58 p.m.

Kick off your weekend at the opening event of these Baltimore artists’ exhibit! The exhibit, which is conveniently located nearby in Hampden, features a combination of Classical Realist and Contemporary Impressionist artwork. If you’re not around this Friday, don’t worry! The exhibit will be open through March 6. If you attend Friday, however, you will have a chance to chat with the artists themselves as you enjoy the exhibit’s opening night for free.

Saturday

The Chocolate Affair Movie Premier, 711 p.m.

This Saturday, head to The Lyric for a screening of multiple independent films. Hosted by Health Care for the Homeless, the films will all center on work being done to end homelessness. Stay after the screening to mingle at the afterparty and enjoy chocolate treats! Tickets are “pay what you can,” and all proceeds go toward supporting Health Care for the Homeless.

Sunday

Skip the Small Talk at Monument City Brewing, 24 p.m.

The first two weeks back on campus mean lots of small talk with people you have not seen in a while. Tired of these conversations? Join Skip the Small Talk, hosted this Sunday at Monument City Brewing, for conversation prompts you can delve into with strangers or friends! Food will be on sale, as well as drinks for those who are 21+. Tickets are $16.50. Buy them here

Chamber Music by Candlelight, 7:309 p.m.

End your weekend at the Second Presbyterian Church listening to live music! The event, which is hosted by Community Concerts at Second, will feature musicians from the Baltimore Symphony as well as other musicians from the area. The concert is free
