The Class of 2024 received their acceptance letters on Friday.

Hopkins released its admissions decisions for the Regular Decision (RD) applicant pool on Friday afternoon. Out of 27,256 applicants, the University admitted 1,922 students to the Class of 2024, making the RD acceptance rate just over seven percent. Last year’s acceptance rate for RD admissions was 7.7 percent. Students that choose to attend will join 682 students admitted during the Early Decision cycle.

This year’s applicant pool for RD was 2,907 students smaller than last year’s, representing 49 U.S. states, two U.S. territories and 41 countries across the globe, including China, Canada and South Korea. However, despite a smaller applicant pool, the RD admissions process this year was more selective than ever before.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, all in-person admission events have been cancelled; this includes Spring Open House Overnight Program, Discovery Days, the First Generation Fly-In and Blue Jay Days. The University has announced that they are working to develop virtual alternatives to these events.

Admitted students will have until May 1 to confirm their spots.
