Enrique Iglesias, the Latin pop music star of international fame, is coming to Washington D.C. He will be performing new songs from his latest album "Seven," which was just released in November, as well as older songs from earlier albums such as "Quizas" and "Escape."
Iglesias, known both for his sultry dancing and his catchy Latin tunes, has had five top-10 singles in America since he put out his first album, "Enrique Iglesias" in 1995. He is best known for the songs "Hero," "Be With You," "Solo Me Importas," and "Bailamos."
Born in Madrid, Spain and son of the global singing phenomenon Julio Iglesias, Enrique has followed in his father's footsteps, yet appeals more to Americans since his songs reflect the influence of such bands as Journey, Roxy Music, and Foreigner. He also spent much of his youth in Miami, Florida, which helped contribute to his American success.
Though young, Iglesias has already won a Grammy and has topped charts both in the United States and in Britain. His shows are known for their hot Latin dancing and great stage effects. This is not a concert to miss.
Enrique Iglesias will be performing for one night only at the DAR Constitution Hall, located at 1776 D St. N.W.
The concert is on Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. The cost of tickets ranges between $39 and $55. For more information about ticket purchases or the concert, call (202)-628-4780 or visit www.digitalcity.com/baltimore.
